I am a Certified Nutrition Educator focused on empowering people to take control of their own health through eating whole, seasonal, minimally processed foods. I believe in individual biology and helping people figure out what diet works best for their biochemistry. I have years of experience in helping families with picky eaters, packing healthy lunches, meal planning, food intolerances, digestion issues, and navigating busy work weeks. Most importantly, I take a fully holistic approach to nutrition - focusing on how to fit healthy eating into family rhythms and lifestyles.
My experience spans a number of years providing nutrition-related support to individuals, families, and a variety of organizations. In addition to my work with individual clients, I have worked with Namaste Health Center in Durango, Colorado, educating cancer patients about the benefits of certain diets. As part of the Cooking Matters Colorado program, I met weekly with young children to teach them healthy eating habits. I also ran a personal chef business, providing healthy meals to very busy families, while exposing them to the benefits of thoughtful and nutritious meal planning.
I hold a BA degree from Sonoma State University, a Nutrition Educator certificate from Bauman College, and I maintain memberships with the National Association of Nutrition Professionals (NANP) and the Weston A. Price Foundation. I am always seeking was to continue my education and further my knowledge of holistic nutrition.
I have seen first-hand how meal planning, stocking a healthy pantry, and taking the time to learn how to prepare basic whole foods, can make someone a better, happier, more motivated person. I want these things for you as well.
